Tea & Sympathy Warming & Decongesting Hot Balm

web_3121-tightThis hot little number blends the head-clearing, enlivening essential oils of eucalyptus, rosemary, camphor, cajeput & peppermint for a heavenly hit of easy breathing. But the real winner is its base: coconut, tea seed and calendula oils are a godsend for overly-blown/flaking/reddened noses; they soothe, soften and heal.

Also good for headaches and bodily aches and pains (and I also love this stuff on itchy insect bites – I call it a ‘hot balm’ but it’s kinda cooling, too!). Rub it around the base of your nose for relief during hayfever season, on your chest and temples at night for easier sleeping when horribly bunged up… Really the uses are endless; this is a 100% plant-sourced, natural alternative to the usual heat rubs and vapour rubs, and works any time you want to nourish your skin while inhaling something warming, decongesting and powerful.

“I had a horrible cold and hadn’t been able to sleep or breathe well the night before. I rubbed some Tea & Sympathy around my nose and on my chest when I went to bed the next night and could breathe much more easily and slept much better!”

Uses & Directions:

Rub the balm onto your skin as required.

Organic, raw, extra virgin coconut oil: Anti-viral, anti-bacterial, moisturising, soothing, melts in beautifully.

Tea seed Oil: Healing, softening, nourishing, packed full of micro-nutrients… See this page!

Calendula Oil: Its name refers to its tendency to bloom with the calendar, usually once a month or with every new moon. Calendula is often used to treat wounds, minor injuries & infections. It’s gently soothing for sensitive skin (I also use it in my mother/baby products) and promotes healing.

Rosemary: a favorite of Paracelsus, a renowned German-Swiss physician and botanist, who made significant contributions to the understanding of herbal medicine during the 16th century. Concentration-boosting, it has antiseptic and anti-microbial qualities.

Eucalpytus, Camphor, Cajeput & Peppermint: even when you are so blocked you can’t smell much at all, the sweet relief of these classically zingy essential oils will waft you towards a clearer way of breathing and stimulate circulation and clarity. Respiratory royalty, all four.

Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Camellia kissi (Camellia) Seed Oil (tea plant), Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Flower, Candelilla cera, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Leucadendron Cajaputi (Cajeput) Leaf Oil, Cinnamomum camphora (Camphor) Bark Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Geraniol*, Limonene*, Linalool*. *Naturally occurring in essential oils.
