Leafology & NASA!! πŸš€ (New thing. No big deal.)

Leafology Journal: Leaves, Shoots & Roots

Ever wondered why I don’t release new products more often than I do?

(I actually highly doubt anyone truly wonders this, since the Leafology range is pretty expansive… But just inΒ case..!)

At any given time, I might have 3-5 products for skin/hair/home that I use regularly myself, sometimes for months/years, but which I don’t actually sell yet.

When something new gets added officially to the range, I’ll therefore have usually been using it myself for quite a while in secret, beforehand.

It’s a bit like how NASA is largely believed to have about 50 years’ worth of technological advancement that we plebs aren’t privy to, which they keep under wraps. (OK, it’s not exactly like that, but you get the point).

3 reasons why I’m not releasing brand new products into the Leafology range every weekΒ (but just enough to keep things fun!):

1. There can often be a LOT of trial and error firstΒ to make sure I think the recipes areΒ perfect. Sometimes a formulation just arrives in my brain fully formed, first draft, to my utter satisfation, but other times it’s more like ‘hhhmmm…’Β πŸ€” I need to try it with a bit more of this and a bit less of that, and see what happens. Occasionally, a recipeΒ neverΒ quite makes it (sad, I know, and someone should probably write some poetry about that…Β maybe me), but they usually do.

2. Occasionally, I’m justΒ ditheringΒ about how to present it to you. I’m second guessing or being indecisive about the type of container/dispenser it should come in, or how/if I can offer refills, or how many scent options there should be. Or (ahem!) I’ve made something which is such a multitasker I’m wondering if it might not be ‘niched down’ enough (this is actually the case with one of my concoctions currently; I don’t know what to title it because I want it to be used by both humans and animals, in both luxurious and mundane situations… And HOW does one present something like this, without confusing everyone? [Welcome to my brain!]).

3.Β  Other times, I’ve created something glorious (it just slipped out) butΒ I’m not sure I can justify setting it up for sale, as it would arguably be in direct competition with an existing product! Does it overwhelm people to have too many options within one category? (E.g. another secret: I am in LOVE with a hair oil which I created last year onΒ  a whim, which I use and keep remaking, but I already sell (and also very regularly use) the gloriousΒ Shine Elixir Hair FoodΒ andΒ Tea & Rice Bran Curl ButterΒ – would it dilute sales of those,Β or can we justify it, as there must be other people, like me, who enjoy multiple options..?)

Bonus reason for any delay on offering up the secret formulation goods:
I have to be SURE enough about the exact percentages/texture/container/everythingΒ to then get it legally assessed as safe for sale, to tick all the boxes, and this costs money, so I can’t be TOO spontaneous with the release of new products beore I’m 100% confident!

(Basically, I refuse to try and sell you things I don’t actually think are really good.)

So now you know the situation.

And in the meantime, here’s one I’m S*U*R*E about:Β

Spray this everywhere ASAP.
