Description
This all-natural balmy gloss is packed full of nourishing plant oils (green tea, peach, pomegranate…), plant butters (shea & mango) and herbal extracts to condition lips and leave a trace of blush and shine. No artificial colours or additions; the very subtle rosy sheen comes solely from an infusion of a herbal root and the inclusion of real rose petals.
Petroleum free. All vegan; all glorious, with a healthy, tingling twist of tangerine and mint. A lovely thing to stash in a handbag.
Please note: the colour imparted onto the lips is not bright or garish; it’s very subtle and gives a healthy glow or ‘blush’ instead.
Uses & Directions:
Whip out and smear over lips as and when you feel the desire.
Key ingredients/benefits:
CAMELLIA (TEA SEED) OIL: an antioxidant-rich, softening, vitamin-rich oil, which sinks into your lips and keeps them healthy.
POMEGRANATE SEED OIL: high in vitamin C and with a unique fatty-acid profile, this oil is highly regenerative and hydrating.
ORGANIC MANGO BUTTER: anti-inflammatory, deeply moisturising and provides some protection from UV rays and the weather; soothing and replenishing.
ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER: produced at a women’s co-operative in Burkina Faso, where the wild shea nut tree is harvested, this butter is rich in restorative qualities. Packed with vitamin E, Pro-vitamin A and Vitamin F, which is excellent for cell rejuvenation.
ROSE PETALS: soothing, cooling and oh-so-pretty, rose is a lovely, conditioning addition for your lips and (though subtle) smells divine.
PEACH KERNEL OIL: light, easily absorbed and full of cell-loving vitamins.
ALKANET ROOT POWDER: an infusion of this herb (from the borage family) gives the lip balm its lovely rosy, blush tint; it’s not a strong pigment, but gives a subtle hint of colour. A beautiful plant with bright blue/violet flowers, its powdered root has detoxing and purifying qualities as well as a hue to impart, and can help soothe irritation.
PEPPERMINT & TANGERINE: these powerful kicks keep things plumped up and fruity, wih a slight, cooling tingle. Tangerine is circulation-boosting and refreshing.

This adds a wonderful subtle touch of colour whilst being ultra-moisturising. It’s got a lovely gentle scent which is not particularly floral (this is a good thing in my book!) It gives you a nice, natural hint of colour.

I don’t often take time to write reviews, but having tried a couple of leafology products now, I think they are fantastic and definitely worth encouraging others to try them. I was first gifted this lovely lip balm by my best mate, but have since gone on and bought it for another friend too. I generally wear full war paint to work, including bold lipsticks – but treat my face to a rest at the weekend. This lip balm is the perfect combination of a subtle tint, to give some natural colour, but also does a great job at long lasting moisturising – and smells lovely. In fact, I have even started to use it alongside my weekday warpaint for a bold eye/subtle lip combo, as a find the balm so much kinder and more pleasant to wear than a paler lipstick. The tin seems to have lasted me for ages – but I will definitely be replacing it when it’s finished!

This balm has such a lovely texture and is so moisturising! The tin is huge and is going to last me so long, which is great because I can’t go without it now working in an air conditioned office.

Gorgeous lip balm. Smells delicious, really moisturise and just right amount of tint. I’ve been using daily for about 6 months and still have plenty left. Will be buying as Christmas presents for all my friends!

Love this balm, it smells lovely and provides just the right amount of shine! I was bereft after losing it on a trip and very happy to receive my new pot. Delightful and moisturizing 🙂

I received this as a gift in May 2019 (two and a half years ago!) from a good friend. I’ve used it every day since then, and I still have enough for perhaps another 4-6 months. Smells so good and is great for my lips in winter time! Even though I live abroad now, I’ll absolutely be ordering a new one soon. The only thing I’d add is that when you get near the bottom, there’s what I believe to be the rose petal powder mixed in; it’s a bit grainy on my lips, but I can easily wipe it off.
