Aphrodite (also known as Venus by the ancient Romans) is the ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. A skilled seductress (and the mother of Cupid, no less), she uses her powers (and magic belt) to promote love and inspire desire.

This beautiful, decadent body oil is swirling with delights; rose petals hand-dropped into each bottle, rose quartz (the stone of love) present like a beating heart at the bottom, green tea infused into the nutrient-rich plant oils and the beautiful balance of sultry, relaxing and uplifting essential oils. This oil leaves a natural glow on the skin, promoting a healthy and well-cared-for appearance, with no synthetic fragrance along the way.

Uses & Directions:

Use as a daily moisturising body oil, as a massage oil or as a fragrant and nourishing addition to a bath (note that it does not foam).
Tip: adding an oil to slightly damp skin (e.g. after a shower) helps lock in moisture. (This is also true of the Lady Grey Glow Balm, Coconut Rose & Walnut Lip Hand & Body Butter and Wild Mother Nourishing Bump Oil).

Key ingredients/benefits:
TAMANU SEED OIL: Tamanu is a fruit originating in Polynesia, and the oil, cold pressed from the seeds, has been shown to stimulate the production of collagen. With antibacterial properties, it promotes healing and is especially good for dry skin.

CALENDULA: This gently soothing, vitamin-rich, medicinal herb has long been used for its ability to heal (cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns and minor skin infections) and help reduce inflammation and soreness. The flowers are infused in sunflower oil, which is easily absorbed and full of vitamins.

RICE BRAN OIL: Rich in natural plant sterols and antioxidant gamma oryzanol, rice bran oil is especially good for sensitive or easily-irritated skin, being calming and soothing.

ROSE QUARTZ: Rose quartz is said to be a calming, comforting stone, beneficial for healing emotional matters of the heart and for opening the mind to beauty and love.

FIG EXTRACT: A nutrient-rich concentration of active components such as calcium, phosphorous, iron, sodium potassium, Vitamin A, traces of B-complex vitamins and Vitamin C, prepared from Turkish figs.

ROSE PETALS & ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL: Rose has been used for centuries for its cooling, soothing properties as well as its delicate scent and skin conditioning power. It’s an elegant, bliss-inducing fragrance, and adds a touch of romance.

HAZELNUT OIL: Good for both dry and oily skin, hazelnut helps to balance both and restore equilibrium, hydrating skin while absorbing any excess oil. Without feeling greasy, its natural fats plump up cells, leaving skin soft.

ROSEMARY, ROSE GERANIUM, BERGAMOT, PATCHOULI, SANDALWOOD & NEROLI ESSENTIAL OILS: Rose Geranium is distilled from the flowers, leaves and stalks, and traditionally used by the Egyptians to promote radiant skin, this aromatic and sweet oil is rosy and uplifting. Patchouli and sandalwood lend an earthy, sultry & deep base to the oil, rosemary promotes refreshment and helps to clear the mind, while bergamot and neroli are beautifully uplifting and rounded citrus notes, bringing joy and bliss.

SAFFLOWER, SUNFLOWER & LEMON SEED OILS: These wonderfully nutrient-rich, lightweight oils are deeply nourishing and easily absorbed.
