Completely talc-free, this is a fine example of plant knowledge casually doing its thing, keeping your baby’s skin (or yours; go ahead and use it if you like) dry, soothed and calm.

Edible arrowroot is often used in cooking (and when our skin absorbs what we put on it, we may as well use food-grade ingredients in both our inner and outer recipes!). It imparts an ultra-soft, lightly velveteen texture for a perfect finish on the skin.

Going that step further, the powder is infused with mild, healing and nurturing oils that are barely perceptible but which your baby’s skin will thank you for.

Packaging: It’s rare to find a baby powder that isn’t encased in plastic (the plastic ones are cheaper and it took me a while to source this lovely alternative, but I think it’s worth it!). Completely free of plastic, this baby powder container is made of lightweight, recyclable metal (see here), with a chrome shaker lid. Feels lovely in the hand & looks good too.

It’s a multi-tasker:

To refresh hair between washes & soak up any greasiness without the use of water, tap a small amount into your palm and massage into roots, then brush out through the hair to remove any excess. Key ingredients/benefits:
CAMELLIA SINENSIS OIL (cold pressed from the seeds of the tea plant): does wonders for all skin types and especially for baby skin, since it’s so gentle. CALENDULA: Anti-bacterial and gentle enough for sensitive baby skin, this vitamin-rich, medicinal herb has long been used for its ability to heal (cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns and minor skin infections) and help reduce inflammation and soreness. The flowers are infused in sunflower oil, which is easily absorbed and full of vitamins.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL: One of the gentlest oils there is, pure lavender is calming and anti-microbial and (despite choosing to keep the fragrance in this powder very light) I think it makes things feel that extra-bit beautiful.
